How GPS Vehicle Tracking Works >
1. The vehicle tracking device requires a SIM card - like
that used on a mobile phone - to enable you to send instructions
and receive positions from the tracking device
2. The GPS antenna attached to the tracking device allows it to know where it is using the latitude /
longitude format. The GSM modem within the tracking device then sends
this information, like a regular text message, to the monitoring
service or web-based tracking software.
3. You then access the tracking service
you have selected to view current positions or a history
trail of where the device has been.
What Your Vehicle Tracking Device Contains >
The tracking device comes with:
900/1800 mhz GSM unit (900/1900 in the USA)

Additional
Information
The vehicle tracking device and the system can be user customised. An
example: A car deviates from its planned course. When this
happens and the predecided co-ordinates of a course (i.e. the
buffer zone) is abandoned, an alarm is set off at the local
alarm centre and they are able to follow the new route of the
car.
Log function - if a car is parked in a garage, the user can
still see the last given co-ordinates.
The Followit Locator has passed a Highly Accelerated Life
Test and the test results showed a product of high quality and
life force. It has a CE standard classification. The
communication can travel both ways and it means that you are
able to call the Locator up or program it to call you.
